		<title>Tuning Into What&#8217;s True For You</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://delicioushealing.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Multicoloured-waves.jpg"><img class="alignleft  wp-image-5172" title="Multicoloured waves" src="http://delicioushealing.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Multicoloured-waves-300x273.jpg" alt="" width="133" height="121" /></a><strong>When you first start to access your awareness, or intuition, you may find it tricky to recognise your signal for being ‘tuned in’ to what’s true for you.</strong></p>
<p>This is hardly surprising as you’re re-discovering a sense you’ve not used for a long time – maybe not since childhood! <span id="more-5171"></span></p>
<p><strong>While there are many ways to sense what’s true for you, including dowsing and muscle testing, we’re going to focus on sensing the energy directly.</strong> This has the advantage that you can use it in your moment to moment living, for example to check:</p>
<ul>
<li>a menu choice – pasta? salad?</li>
<li>your response to a friend’s suggestion – accept? decline?</li>
<li>shopping – blue T shirt? red T shirt?</li>
</ul>
<p>While these may seem like minor choices, aligning with your being helps you feel good, which contributes to your overall health!</p>
<p><strong>You can also check the energy of bigger choices</strong> like:</p>
<ul>
<li>which method of healing – EFT? TAT? something else?</li>
<li>which approach – self healing? facilitated healing session? a mix?</li>
<li>timing – this week? next week?</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your energy system has a way to signal clearly what’s true for you</strong> – <strong>it’s just a question of recognising and tuning in to your personal signal.</strong> Here’s an easy way to do just that.</p>
<p><strong>First, say to yourself – either in your head or out loud:</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>“Truth, my name is &lt;insert YOUR REAL NAME&gt;”</em></strong><em><br />
</em></p>
<p>Take your attention inside – some people like to drop their awareness into their heart area &#8211; and check how saying your real name makes you feel….</p>
<p>Many people find that saying their name (a truth) makes their energy feel’ light’ or ‘expansive’. Others tell me they feel ‘empowered’ or ‘strong’. Your signal may well be something different – be open to receive it in whatever way it comes to you.</p>
<p>Do this a few times, to get the idea of moving your focus inside, and noticing how the statement makes you feel.</p>
<p>This is your signal for a ‘truth’ for you – something that aligns with your being.</p>
<p><strong>Second, say to yourself:<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>“Truth, my name is LESLEY SHARPLES” </em> </strong>or some other ‘false’ name.</p>
<p>And check how that makes you feel …</p>
<p>Many people find saying a false name (a ‘lie’) makes their energy feel heavy or contracted, while others experience different responsess, such as ‘awkward’, ‘weak’, &#8216;restrictive, etc.</p>
<p>Again, do this a few times, to get a clear idea of your signal for a ‘lie’ – something that’s out of alignment with your being.</p>
<p><strong>Once you’ve found your signals, remember them</strong> by mentally filling in the phrase below:</p>
<p>A truth feels _______  , a lie feels _______ .</p>
<p>Eg  A truth feels lighter, a lie feels heavier.</p>
<p>Eg  A truth feels empowering, a lie feels awkward.</p>
<p><strong>With a little practice, you’ll soon become adept</strong> at checking what’s true for you. It’s a good idea to start with small things, rather than major life choices!</p>
<p><strong>The Delicious Nugget</strong>: Recognise your signals for ‘truths’ and ‘lies’ by noticing the effects on your energy system of saying your own name followed by a false name.</p>

<p><strong>Surprisingly, it’s to do with your skull.</strong> Your skull is made up of 8 cranial plates, which move rhythmically, but imperceptibly, with your breath. Tension can shift the plates from their natural position.</p>
<p><strong>Simply intending, or allowing, these plates to rest back into their natural position has an immediate relaxing effect.</strong> As your skull relaxes, you’ll find your scalp and face relaxing on the outside, and your brain relaxing on the inside. As the whole of your head relaxes so does the rest of your body…</p>
<p>Ready to give it a go? <strong>Simply allow your skull to relax</strong> – the rest will take care of itself!</p>

<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">A client in India suggested my website might be infected with malware, as she’d been prompted to download a bogus anti-virus tool.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">Dealing with a hacked website was too much to handle. I was busy, my site seemed to be working fine, perhaps any malware was in her computer. I carefully put this to one side.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">We often ignore an initial warning sign, because we’re too busy or too afraid to face up to it. Denial.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">I did notice my site dashboard was scrambled, but only on my desk computer, OK on my laptop.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">Must be something to do with my desk computer.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">And then ignore another warning sign…</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">I wanted to clarify how to make some adjustments to my site, and Skyped <a href="http://dmiracle.com/">Dawud</a> my ace website coach and advisor. As an afterthought at the end I said ‘By the way someone suggested my site may have been hacked…’ </span></td>
<td></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">When we go to the doctor or a healer, we sometimes leave what’s really bothering us to the end of the session, like an afterthought.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">Dawud took a quick look, and confirmed that it had indeed been hacked. He immediately removed the extra code.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">Initial shock.</span><span style="color: #ff6600;">Then relief that the site was quickly sorted.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">We really want someone to fix us!</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">A few days later, the dashboard for my other website appeared scrambled. I emailed Dawud – was this site hacked? Yes.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">I started to take notice of the warning signs, and sought help, as I had no idea how to deal with hacking.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">We seek help.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">I asked Dawud to sort the second site too.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">Relief, things seemed under control.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">We receive help &#8211; relief the issue seems sorted.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">20 minutes later an email from Dawud saying that the malware had dug more deeply into both sites, it would take longer, and cost more, to clean out.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">Shock, frustration, anger – how had I let myself get into this position?</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">Frustration that it’s not sorted at all, in fact it’s got worse.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">10 mins later another email – it had gone deeper still – would take several hours and a much higher cost to clean both sites.</span></td>
<td></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">And worse.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">Dawud wasn’t available to discuss a way forward for several hours …</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">I realised I had to take responsibility for this and face up to it.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">Eventually we take notice!</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">I remembered my tools, and quickly let go of all the feelings of frustration and anger (they didn’t even belong to me!). I connected with my LightSpheres to realign myself with my higher consciousness.</span><span style="color: #ff6600;">Then I started to ask what’s right about this that I’m not getting….?</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">Then we take responsibility, and start to use the resources and tools we have.</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">Then an idea emerged, for the amount it would cost to clean up my site, I could ask Dawud to set up the shell of a new site, with up to date functions, which I could develop myself.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">A way forward emerges…</span></td>
</tr>

<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">11pm my time, Dawud and I had another Skype conversation and agreed he would set up the new sites, with all the latest security, and install the themes, and I would take over from there in a couple of days.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">I recognised that security and installing the new themes were beyond me, and sought expert help. Beyond that I could redevelop the sites myself, drawing on what I had learned from helping Clare set up our <a href="http://www.spheresoflight.org/">Spheres Of Light </a>site.</span><span style="color: #ff6600;">A good night’s sleep!</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;"> We recognise where we need help, and what we can do for ourselves.</span></td>
</tr>

<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">In the shower the next morning I found myself feeling grateful my sites had been hacked, now I could make all the improvements I’d been thinking about for ages.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">We see the benefit of the health issue.</span></td>

<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">After Dawud completed his part, I realised I needed help with a few aspects of the theme.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">I don’t like asking people for favours. I acknowledged that I give lots of help to others, so let that resistance go, and asked <a href="http://www.starlightstarbright.eu/">Clare</a> who willingly helped me.</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #008000;">We ask our friends for help.</span></td>

<td><span style="color: #ff0000;">10 days later both sites were up and running!</span></td>
<td><span style="color: #ff6600;">So much better! Still plenty of fine tuning to do. Now I’m in charge and enjoying making further improvements on an ongoing basis.</span></td>

<h3><strong>11 healing nuggets<br />
</strong></h3>
<p><strong>1. First address any beliefs that hinder your healing from getting started</strong>, such as an unconscious belief “I don’t deserve to heal”.  (EFT, TAT)</p>
<p><strong>2. Asking questions is very empowering</strong> – it removes the blinkers of your habitual thinking. (Access Consciousness is based on questions)</p>
<p><strong>3. Similarly, incorporating the phrase ‘I don’t know how’ </strong>into your requests, and going into the theta state, opens you up to possibilities you could never think up in your mind. (The One Command)</p>
<p><strong>4. There’s healing energy in the air around you</strong>, that you can easily ‘capture’ and use to heal yourself. (Quantum Touch)</p>
<p><strong>5. By going into a very still space inside, you can heal things</strong> (Core Transformation form of Quantum Touch)</p>
<p><strong>6. There’s a simple protocol that realigns your skeleton from the feet up</strong>. (KCR &#8211; the one thing I offer that needs to be done in person)</p>
<p><strong>7. A key skill for self-healing is to distinguish what your inner guidance suggests you do, from your ego</strong> wanting to direct your healing from your mind. (Awakening)</p>
<p><strong>8. Simply asking yourself ‘Could I let go?’ releases discomfort</strong>, and this is a powerful tool you can use in your everyday life to prevent stuffed emotions building up. (Sedona Method)</p>
<p><strong>9. There’s no need to ‘do’ anything to heal</strong> – simply get out of your own way! (Reconnective Healing)</p>
<p><strong>10. The TAT Pose takes you quickly to your ‘healing space’</strong>. (TAT)</p>
<p><strong>11. At the end of a healing session it’s good to ensure that whatever you’ve healed doesn’t return</strong>. (Bars – the Restructuring Bar, or the last step of TAT &#8211; integrate your healing)</p>

<p><strong>I for one have spent most of my adult life ‘in my head’ rather than in my heart</strong>. Now I’m discovering that spending more time in my heart not only takes me to a much more peaceful place, but also reduces or dissolves any discomfort I’m feeling.</p>
<p><strong>An upset with a friend dissolved</strong> into nothing in my heart.</p>
<p><strong>A pain in my shoulder diminished greatly </strong>after I ‘placed’ it in my heart.</p>
<p>While your mind is perfect for storing and retrieving information, your heart is a gateway to other realms and resources.</p>
<h3><strong>Try it now!</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Become aware of a current discomfort</strong> – physical, emotional or spiritual.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li> <strong>Relax and drop your awareness from your head to your heart</strong>. Here are some ways to do this:</li>
</ul>

<li>lower your awareness with each outbreath until it’s in your heart</li>
<li>bow your head, to disengage your mind</li>
<li>place your hand over your heart</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Spend a few moments sinking into your heart</strong>, and enjoying the peacefulness there.</li>
<li><strong>When you’re ready, ‘place’ the discomfort in your heart</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Stay in your heart, and notice what happens</strong> … perhaps some sensations, an insight, or a simple disappearance of the discomfort …</li>

<p>When you’re finished check how your feel – same? worse? better?</p>

<p><strong>If you know you would benefit from choosing to move your body more</strong>, read on to get past your excuses.<span id="more-3432"></span></p>
<p><strong>Can you remember what it was like to feel fit and have abundant energy?</strong> To feel really alive? To sleep like a log, and wake up alert and ready for the day? All this and more is much more likely to be yours when you choose to make movement a way of life.</p>
<p><strong>Our bodies are made to move</strong> – just watch young children who are rarely still!</p>
<p><strong>Somehow we lost the impetus to move</strong> our bodies, and spend long hours sitting, often motionless in front of computers or the TV. Despite knowing the benefits of moving, we actually choose to stagnate!</p>
<h3><strong>Choosing to move beyond the excuses</strong></h3>
<p>Here’s the key – it’s all about choice – your choice! If someone offered you a million pounds, or dollars, for really moving your body every day for a month, I’m sure you’d choose a way past your excuses!</p>
<h4><strong>I don’t have time</strong></h4>
<p>Check how many hours a day you spend on the computer or watching TV – how about exchanging some of that to move?</p>
<p>Think of the benefits of movement – feeling more alert and focused likely means you’ll get through other tasks and chores more quickly, thus freeing up time.</p>
<p>If you really feel pushed for time, remember moving your body doesn’t have to be a separate activity like swimming or going to the gym, you can integrate it into your everyday living – try walking to the shops, some DIY, or gardening.</p>
<p>It’s your time, you can choose how you use it!</p>
<h4><strong>I’ll get onto it tomorrow</strong></h4>
<p>Aah, procrastination is an easy excuse! The trouble is tomorrow never comes.</p>
<p>However  small, choose some movement you’ll do today – how about a short walk after reading this article?</p>
<p>Then visualise yourself fit and energised, and plan your movement for tomorrow.</p>
<h4><strong>My body isn’t up to it</strong></h4>
<p>It’s easy to avoid moving because of a sore hip, or some other ailment. Whatever situation you find yourself in, you’ll be able to move your body in some way.</p>
<p>Draw inspiration from those who compete in the Paralympics overcoming great physical adversity to be supremely fit. Think of people like Christopher Reeves who did daily exercises in the hope of one day being able to move again. Your body can move, and the more you move it, the better it will get.</p>
<h4><strong>I don’t have the energy</strong></h4>
<p>For most of us the lack of movement that contributes to feeling lethargic, so it’s a question of getting moving to feel the benefits.</p>
<p>If you have ME it’s a question of doing a little movement, and following your medical practitioner’s advice.</p>
<h4><strong>I don’t have the clothes/equipment/money</strong></h4>
<p>There are plenty of ways of moving in your everyday clothes, that don’t require equipment or funds, such as walking, jogging, yoga, Tai Chi. Choose to look for ways to move more that suit your situation.</p>
<h4><strong>I’m happy as I am</strong></h4>
<p>Yes, it’s always easy to stay in your comfort zone! Check out with yourself – are you really living life to the full? If you’ve got this far reading this article, I expect you know deep down you and your body would benefit from more movement.</p>
<h4><strong>Another excuse?</strong></h4>
<p>I think you get the picture – simply focus on the benefits and choose your way past it!</p>
<h3><strong>Still stuck?</strong></h3>

<p>Once this article is posted, I&#8217;m off to don my wate rproofs and re-start my daily lunchtime walks. I&#8217;ve also chosen to practice the Tai Chi I&#8217;m learning on Tuesdays 5 times a week. My new choice is to get up and move if I&#8217;ve been sitting at the computer for half an hour.</p>

<p><strong>Just as the wave that the surfer rides eventually dissolves, so will your feeling.</strong> All you need to do is be with the feeling, allow it to build to its peak, and then dissolve away of its own accord. The good thing is that, usually, when you allow yourself to experience the anger, fear, pain or sorrow it doesn’t turn out to be as bad as you anticipated!</p>
<p><strong>I suggest you start with a small niggly feeling</strong>, rather than your biggest fear!</p>

<p>You’ve probably heard people say the most important part of healing is your intent. Experiments in the quantum field have shown without doubt that the consciousness of the observer influences the outcome.</p>
<p><strong>What if you could achieve healing (or anything else), purely through your intent?</strong></p>
<p><strong>A few days ago I set off to drive 400 miles from Scotland to Cambridge.</strong> It was snowing, and the main road south closed, so long queues meant the first 40 miles took me three hours.  Being late afternoon and already dark I considered turning back, then I remembered that asking thymus energy to run would keep my energy up and my body comfortable, so I simply asked thymus energy to run. <strong>Six hours later, including just one 5 minute comfort stop, I arrived in Cambridge still bright and alert,</strong> feeling only marginally stiff when I got out of the car!</p>
<p><strong>My intent when I asked for the thymus energy to run was to allow it to run in the best way to keep me comfortable and alert</strong>. I was confident that would be the case, as I’ve experienced the benefits of thymus energy before. Having asked it to run, I forgot about it and time passed quickly as the roads cleared and I listened to a long, engaging workshop on my iPod.</p>
<p><strong>In this case my intent was that a ‘preventative’ healing method I’d used before would work simply through my intention, and it did!</strong></p>
<p><strong>After doing some chores in Cambridge I felt a sharp pain near the tip of my thumb</strong>, where I found a tiny cut, that kept opening up whenever I pressed my thumb (amazing how much we use our thumbs!). Fed up with this annoyance persisting for a couple of days, <strong>before going to sleep I asked for the highest healing available to me to help heal the cut</strong>. By morning there was no pain when I pressed my thumb, and the base layer of skin had healed over the cut. A minor example, however I often find it’s good to start out small!</p>
<p><strong>In this case, I didn’t draw on any healing method, I simply asked for the highest available energy I could access to help my thumb to heal, and it did!  </strong>I let go of all the training wheels I’d learned through a range of healing modalities.</p>

<h3>So, what are the ins and outs of smoothies and juices?</h3>
<h4><strong>Ingredients</strong></h4>
<p>A green smoothie is a blend of fruits and green leaves whizzed up in a blender.</p>
<p><strong>My typical green smoothie</strong> includes: mango/pineapple/apple + banana/avocado + spinach/kale/lettuce + lemon slice + celery stick. Yum!</p>
<p>Because of the fibre content a smoothie is quite satisfying – more like a meal.</p>
<p>A green juice is extracted from a mix of fruits and green leaves, with the addition of vegetables.</p>
<p><strong>My typical green juice</strong> includes: cucumber + carrots/courgette + celery + mango/pineapple/apple + spinach/kale/lettuce. Yum!</p>
<p>For me, the main advantage of juice is the sheer vitality and lightness I feel after drinking one!  I’ve also noticed that a juice including bitter greens such as kale or dandelion leaves, doesn’t taste as bitter as the equivalent smoothie.</p>
<h4><strong>Equipment</strong></h4>
<p>To make a smoothie you need a powerful blender, though a stick blender is adequate for occasional use, eg when travelling.<strong><br />
</strong></p>
<p>There’s a wide range of electric juicers on the market; do make sure you get one that will juice greens if you want to include them in your juices. The more expensive juicers are more efficient in extracting juice. Modestly priced hand juicers are also available, however it’s worth investing in an electric one if you plan to make juices often, as they speed up the process dramatically.</p>
<p>If space is an issue, a blender will make a smaller footprint on your work surface than a juicer (unless you get one of the new ‘vertical’ juicers). We had to put our food processor away to make room for the juicer!</p>
<p>A mid range juicer is likely to be at least twice the price of a mid range blender, so if already have a blender, it may make sense to start with smoothies, as we did.</p>
<h4><strong>Time</strong></h4>
<p>Smoothies win hands-down for preparation time. It only takes a couple of minutes to load and run the blender, pour the smoothie into a glass, and rinse the blender. A smoothie is always my choice on mornings when I’m in a hurry.</p>
<p>It takes me about 7 minutes to cut up the fruit and veg, keep loading the juicer, and then dismantle and wash the parts. On the other hand, when I do have time, the whole juicing process is now so automatic, it’s become a morning meditation!</p>
<h4><strong>Nutrition</strong></h4>
<p>With a smoothie, your body receives the whole of the fruit and greens. When the cell walls of greens are broken down by the blender, amino acids &#8211; which are the building blocks of protein that are needed for growth and repair &#8211; are released.</p>
<p>With a juice you get a more nutrient-dense drink, with a higher concentration of vitamins and minerals, which is helpful for cleansing and healing.</p>
<h4><strong>Blood sugar</strong></h4>
<p>The ‘whole’ food in a smoothie is more balanced since there is less concentration of the natural fruit sugars that you get with juicing. Sugar is released over a longer period, and blood sugar remains more stable.</p>
<p>However, depending what  you will be doing next, the quick energy boost from the more concentrated sugars in fresh juice may be what you’re looking for!</p>
<h4><strong>Digestion</strong></h4>
<p>A big advantage of juices is the ease with which the body can assimilate the liquid and all the vitamins and minerals it contains. This can be helpful when you’re ill, convalescing of have a compromised digestion which would struggle with the fibre in a smoothie.</p>
<p>On the other hand, fibre has a regulating and cleansing effect on the digestive tract which many people find beneficial.</p>
<h4><strong>Cost</strong></h4>
<p>If you use the same ingredients to make a juice and a smoothie, you’ll get around twice the quantity of smoothie, because the smoothie is bulked up by the fibre that is discarded from juice. This makes juicing appear more expensive.</p>
<p>On the other hand, since juices use more vegetables such as carrots, beet and celery, which are generally cheaper to buy than fruit, the difference in cost my not be as much as it seems when you look at the pulp coming out of the juicer!</p>
<h4><strong>My conclusion</strong></h4>
<p>Having spent extensive periods of smoothie only, followed by juice only, I now oscillate between the two as the mood, hunger level, available ingredients and my time takes me. If my digestion were upset, or I were recovering from illness I would take juices for a while. Best of all, check each day what your body would like!</p>
<p><strong>The Delicious Nugget</strong>: Green smoothies and juices are both good for you – smoothies give all-round nutrition includthe building blocks of proteis from greens, while juices yield a higher concentration of micro-nutrients and fruit sugar and  are more easily assimilated and good for cleansing the body. If you have the equipment for both, check ‘Which does your body want today?’</p>
