<p>Take a few minutes to review what’s worked for you in the past year. <span id="more-1177"></span>If, like me you tend to forget about health issues that are sorted, try skimming through your diary or journal, or asking friends and family to jog your memory.<br />
<em><br />
To get you started, I’ve filled in some examples from my past year. </em></p>
<h3>Which aspects of your health have you maintained or improved this past year?</h3>
<ul>
<li><em>I’ve released 10 pounds and maintained my ideal weight for about six months.</em></li>
<li><em>I eventually resolved a frozen shoulder.</em></li>
<li><em>I’ve eliminated migraines which had built up to at least one a week. This is a massive gain for me, and I almost forgot about it!</em></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What’s improved for you?</strong></p>
<h3>What did you do for yourself that helped your health?</h3>
<ul>
<li><em>Eating at least half my food raw helped me shed the extra pounds.</em></li>
<li><em>Recognising the anger stored up in my frozen shoulder, then using the Sedona Method to release the anger.</em></li>
<li><em>Using EFT, and reducing stress allowed the migraines to disappear. EFT also helped resolve a myriad of daily niggles.</em></li>
<li><em>Twenty minutes exercise (psychocalisthenics) each morning, and walks some lunchtimes.</em></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What did you do?</strong></p>
<h3>What help did you get from other sources?</h3>
<ul>
<li><em>Having a weekly conversation with my ‘raw food buddy’ helps me keep on track with my preferred way of eating.</em></li>
<li><em>Having Anne as my Thursday walking partner ensures I walk at least one lunchtime!</em></li>
<li><em>Occasional Bowen Technique sessions help keep my body balanced.</em></li>
<li><em>Being part of a weekly meditation group, and going on a Brahma Kumaris retreat nurture my spirit.</em></li>
<li><em>Using my chi machine kept me fit when my shoulder prevented me doing my exercises.</em></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What help did you get from others?</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You’ve been bombarded with doom and gloom about pollution, global warming and the likelihood that our earth may become totally inhospitable for your great grandchildren.</p>
<p>You’re doing what you can to minimise your carbon footprint by recycling, avoiding elaborate packaging, using public transport, and flying less, but still the prognosis doesn’t look good. Perhaps you’re wondering whether your efforts are having any effect at all.<span id="more-143"></span></p>
<p>Our earth is a living being; an organism with innate intelligence, a soul and a lifecycle, but she has become so overloaded she is choking to death. Just as we can offer healing to each other, and to ourselves, so too we can offer healing to our earth.</p>
<p>Sound crazy? Maybe, but there’s certainly nothing to lose, and there’s everything, literally everything, to gain.</p>
<h3>Suggestions to help heal our earth</h3>
<p>Here are some ways you can offer help. Check which one resonates for you, or what else pops into your head.</p>
<h4>1.  Offer healing</h4>
<p>Energy healers, such as Reiki practitioners will be familiar with distance healing, and offering healing to our planet.</p>
<p>A simple way to offer healing is to rub your hands together, separate them and then notice how they feel. You may sense a tingly feeling, but don’t worry if you don’t, the energy is there anyway. You can then offer this energy, also known as chi or prana or life force, to the earth.  Here’s what to do:</p>
<ul>
<li>generate healing energy by rubbing your hands together</li>
<li>separate your hands, then move them in and out a little to sense the energy</li>
<li>imagine a small earth poised between your hands</li>
<li>offer the energy from your hands to the earth</li>
<li>continue until the process feels complete, even a few minutes helps</li>
</ul>
<p>With a little imagination and trust, you can adapt any form of healing to our earth. If for example you are a reflexologist, you could hold a ball or an imaginary earth in your hands, let her rotate and massage the points you feel drawn to. If you’re a yoga teacher you could create in your mind some yoga asanas for the earth, and visualise her carrying them out.</p>
<p>Play around to find a way you can offer healing to our earth.</p>
<h4>2.  Pray</h4>
<p>Just as you use prayer for yourself or others, you can use it for the earth too. Pray for the recovery and health of our earth.</p>
<h4>3.  Visualise and feel</h4>
<p>Feelings of fear about our earth attract more of the same. So seeing her as healthy, and feeling the relief this brings will attract her recovery to manifest in reality.</p>
<h4>4.  Offer love</h4>
<p>You could simple think about our earth, open your heart and offer her love.</p>
<p>As I write more ideas are popping into my head, so take a moment to see what pops up for you…, and try it out.</p>
<h4>5. Work with others</h4>
<p>My experience of Reiki and Quantum Touch is that healing energy greatly amplifies when it’s being offered by a group of people. It often becomes tangible.  Are you part of a group which would like to offer energy to help our earth heal?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How would you like to experience the feeling of new life and energy that springtime brings? Cast off the heaviness and sluggishness of winter, and step forward with a new lightness of being?</p>
<p>In springtime I’m ready to get up at 6, have lots of fresh energy, and feel myself turning away from the heavy soups of winter to fresh, crisp salads.<span id="more-125"></span></p>
<p>While I’ve experienced the arrival of spring more than fifty times, somehow the freshness and vibrancy of the new energy always comes as a surprise. I’m mesmerised by the changes as the earth transforms herself with longer days, spring flowers, a myriad of shades of green, and the dawn chorus.</p>
<p>These changes are propelled by energies emanating from the earth, and we can tap into this fountain of change and vibrancy to benefit our sense of well-being, and in turn our health.</p>
<p>Everything in our world is made up of energy, vibrating at different rates. Solid matter like your computer or your body is dense with a slow vibration, while colours, thoughts and feelings vibrate at higher levels. Feelings follow a spectrum from the relatively low vibration of apathy and fear through the higher energies of anger and pride to the highest vibrations of acceptance, love and peace.</p>
<p>We can tune into the vibrations of nature in springtime, to take our feelings up the emotional scale, and improve our sense of well-being.</p>
<h3>How to access the nurturing energies of spring</h3>
<h4>1.  Find the springtime energies which inspire you</h4>
<p>Which aspects of spring give you a lift? It it’s springtime with you, and you have the opportunity, take a walk round your garden, the gardens in town, wherever you have access. If that’s not possible, explore the images of spring in your mind, or find some images in a book or search in Google Images for ‘spring time’.</p>
<p>Whatever way you choose, be alert to all five senses as you explore what inspires you in spring time.</p>
<p><strong>a) What do you see?</strong></p>
<p>For me it’s the colours: yellows, blues and pinks of spring blossoms, and the blue haze of a glade of bluebells.</p>
<p><strong>b) What do you feel?</strong></p>
<p>After the cold of winter, I feel cosseted by the warmth of the spring sun penetrating right through to my bones. And I’m delighted by the soft feel of fresh leaves.</p>
<p><strong>c) What do you hear?</strong></p>
<p>While it wakes me up for a few days, the sound of birds singing the dawn chorus</p>
<p><strong>d) What do you smell?</strong></p>
<p>The perfumes of blossom feel exotic and alluring to me.</p>
<p><strong>e) What do you taste?</strong></p>
<p>The pungent taste of fresh garlic or dandelion leaves in salad wake me up!</p>
<p>Pick a two of three aspects of spring which most inspire; the chances are they are the ones which will nurture you.</p>
<h4>2.  Drink in the springtime energies</h4>
<p>Immerse yourself in the healing energies you’ve chosen, and drink them in. Again, you can achieve this in a variety of ways: by going out into nature, through your imagination, or by absorbing images from a book or computer. Or you might choose to draw forth the energies through an activity such as painting. Be creative in finding ways to feel connected to the healing energies, and ‘top up your tank’.</p>
<h4>3.  Top up regularly</h4>
<p>Spring is a short season, so take advantage of it while it’s here, drinking in as much healing energy as you need. It will be a year until spring is back again!</p>
