<p><strong>If you know you would benefit from choosing to move your body more</strong>, read on to get past your excuses.<span id="more-3432"></span></p>
<p><strong>Can you remember what it was like to feel fit and have abundant energy?</strong> To feel really alive? To sleep like a log, and wake up alert and ready for the day? All this and more is much more likely to be yours when you choose to make movement a way of life.</p>
<p><strong>Our bodies are made to move</strong> – just watch young children who are rarely still!</p>
<p><strong>Somehow we lost the impetus to move</strong> our bodies, and spend long hours sitting, often motionless in front of computers or the TV. Despite knowing the benefits of moving, we actually choose to stagnate!</p>
<h3><strong>Choosing to move beyond the excuses</strong></h3>
<p>Here’s the key – it’s all about choice – your choice! If someone offered you a million pounds, or dollars, for really moving your body every day for a month, I’m sure you’d choose a way past your excuses!</p>
<h4><strong>I don’t have time</strong></h4>
<p>Check how many hours a day you spend on the computer or watching TV – how about exchanging some of that to move?</p>
<p>Think of the benefits of movement – feeling more alert and focused likely means you’ll get through other tasks and chores more quickly, thus freeing up time.</p>
<p>If you really feel pushed for time, remember moving your body doesn’t have to be a separate activity like swimming or going to the gym, you can integrate it into your everyday living – try walking to the shops, some DIY, or gardening.</p>
<p>It’s your time, you can choose how you use it!</p>
<h4><strong>I’ll get onto it tomorrow</strong></h4>
<p>Aah, procrastination is an easy excuse! The trouble is tomorrow never comes.</p>
<p>However  small, choose some movement you’ll do today – how about a short walk after reading this article?</p>
<p>Then visualise yourself fit and energised, and plan your movement for tomorrow.</p>
<h4><strong>My body isn’t up to it</strong></h4>
<p>It’s easy to avoid moving because of a sore hip, or some other ailment. Whatever situation you find yourself in, you’ll be able to move your body in some way.</p>
<p>Draw inspiration from those who compete in the Paralympics overcoming great physical adversity to be supremely fit. Think of people like Christopher Reeves who did daily exercises in the hope of one day being able to move again. Your body can move, and the more you move it, the better it will get.</p>
<h4><strong>I don’t have the energy</strong></h4>
<p>For most of us the lack of movement that contributes to feeling lethargic, so it’s a question of getting moving to feel the benefits.</p>
<p>If you have ME it’s a question of doing a little movement, and following your medical practitioner’s advice.</p>
<h4><strong>I don’t have the clothes/equipment/money</strong></h4>
<p>There are plenty of ways of moving in your everyday clothes, that don’t require equipment or funds, such as walking, jogging, yoga, Tai Chi. Choose to look for ways to move more that suit your situation.</p>
<h4><strong>I’m happy as I am</strong></h4>
<p>Yes, it’s always easy to stay in your comfort zone! Check out with yourself – are you really living life to the full? If you’ve got this far reading this article, I expect you know deep down you and your body would benefit from more movement.</p>
<h4><strong>Another excuse?</strong></h4>
<p>I think you get the picture – simply focus on the benefits and choose your way past it!</p>
<h3><strong>Still stuck?</strong></h3>
<p>If your excuses persist, a Delicious Healing session will help change your whole perspective on moving by dissolving any sub-conscious conditioning.</p>
<h3><strong>Take action</strong></h3>
<p>Once this article is posted, I&#8217;m off to don my wate rproofs and re-start my daily lunchtime walks. I&#8217;ve also chosen to practice the Tai Chi I&#8217;m learning on Tuesdays 5 times a week. My new choice is to get up and move if I&#8217;ve been sitting at the computer for half an hour.</p>
<p>Be it walking, gardening, housework, rebounding, dance, cycling, yoga, Tai Chi, the gym, jogging or any other way of moving – what extra movement will you do today?</p>

<p>Instead of pushing it away which may eventually affect your health, try surfing along with it until it dissolves.<strong><span id="more-3392"></span></strong></p>
<p><strong>Just as the wave that the surfer rides eventually dissolves, so will your feeling.</strong> All you need to do is be with the feeling, allow it to build to its peak, and then dissolve away of its own accord. The good thing is that, usually, when you allow yourself to experience the anger, fear, pain or sorrow it doesn’t turn out to be as bad as you anticipated!</p>
<p><strong>I suggest you start with a small niggly feeling</strong>, rather than your biggest fear!</p>
<p><strong>You can work with the simple guidelines above, or, if you prefer to be guided, listen to my recording below.</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your healing hasn’t really taken off yet, you may be partially tuned into the ‘not willing to heal’ channel.</strong> Surprisingly, there can be plenty of reasons to be unwilling to heal!<span id="more-3320"></span></p>
<p>If part of you thinks ‘I really want to get better’, while another part thinks ‘Hmm, I’d have to go back to work’, and a further sub-conscious part believes ‘I don’t deserve to heal’ or ‘This is too old to heal’, you’re sending out very mixed vibrations which the universe is matching with equally mixed results of ‘stop-start’ healing.</p>
<p><strong>To heal with speed and ease, you need to tune your vibration as purely as you can to the ‘complete willingness to heal’ channel.</strong> The first step is to check if you have some unwillingness to heal.</p>
<h3><strong>Intuit your willingness to heal</strong></h3>
<p>It’s more than likely that at least part of any unwillingness to heal comes from your sub-conscious beliefs. Your intuition will give you an overall sense of your unwillingness to heal, including any sub-conscious aspects. Don’t worry there’s no need to identify what these aspects are.</p>
<p>Ask yourself:</p>
<p><em>Truth, how willing am I  to heal?<br />
</em></p>
<p>Then scan the numbered list below, and see which number is true for you. There are several ways to do this, you could:</p>
<ul>
<li>check which number jumps out at you / makes you feels light</li>
<li>dowse for a ‘yes’</li>
<li>check for a positive muscle test.</li>
</ul>
<p>The key is to trust the first response your intuition gives you.</p>
<p>0  Not at all willing</p>
<p>1  Slightly willing</p>
<p>2  Fairly willing</p>
<p>3  Very willing</p>
<p>4  Completely willing</p>
<p><strong>If your response is anything between 0 &amp; 3 it’s likely that you have some unwillingness to heal.</strong> It’s not a problem that you have no idea what it is; healing modalities like TAT will help you gracefully resolve your unwillingness without any need to identify the cause.</p>
<h3><strong>Check the advantages of not healing</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Have you ever stopped to consider the advantages of not healing?</strong> It may seem an odd question, but when you think about it there may be some real advantages of your present condition. For example, not being well enough to do things you’d rather avoid, getting lots of attention, people doing things for you, and so on.</p>
<p>Ask yourself:</p>
<p><em>What are the advantages of me not healing?<br />
</em></p>
<p>If you’re drawing a blank here, you could always check out with someone you trust who knows you well. An outside perspective can often be revealing.<em><br />
</em></p>
<p>Identifying advantages of not healing gives you a new perspective, from which you can review your  desire to heal.</p>
<p><strong>Next</strong></p>
<p>If this article has prompted you to an awareness that, so far, you’ve not been completely willing to heal, <strong>congratulations – your unwillingness is the first thing to address through your healing modality of choice.</strong></p>

What if your healing was effective, only in a different direction to your intention?<span id="more-3269"></span></p>
<p><strong>Most people who come to me for help with their healing would like to end up with a reduction in their symptoms</strong>, be it a sore back, feeling low or some other discomfort. This is often what they achieve. Other times people are clearly disappointed that their symptoms persist – what’s gone wrong?</p>
<p><strong>I booked three healing sessions, hoping to improve my eyesight</strong>, so I wouldn’t need to wear reading glasses. I was also open to the healing perhaps taking another direction. Three weeks later, there was no significant change in my eyes, I could still only read the newspaper in daylight or with a strong light. However, I did notice that my attitude to my eyes had changed – I felt more accepting of them, with some satisfaction that releasing my resistance towards them may be a step towards restoring 20/20 vision….</p>
<p>As I reflected on my experience, I suddenly realised that while autumn had arrived I was still wearing sandals, and my hands and feet were warm. Ever since the shock of an emergency op fifteen years ago I had felt the cold.</p>
<p><strong>I realised my youthful warmth had returned, and was very pleased with this unexpected outcome from my healing sessions, and glad that I’d been open to something else showing up!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Eric Pearl, of <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/the-reconnection/">The Reconnection</a>, talks about ‘allowing the power that made you to be the power that heals you’</strong>. While the power that made you remains a mystery, it’s clear that it has an intelligence beyond that of the mind. So, when you undertake healing, how about letting go of specific intentions, and surrendering to the intelligence of the power that made you? This explains why with Reconnective Healing we encourage you to be open to the healing taking its own course.</p>
<p><strong>With <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/tat/">TAT</a> we start with a very broad ‘intention’ – so broad it allows anything to show up:<br />

<p>What would your health look like if you took that on board?</p>
<p><span id="more-3251"></span><strong>We are all far more ‘psychic’ that we realise</strong>, continually picking up on each other’s thoughts, feelings and pain.</p>
<p>Ever noticed how going into a room of joyful people gives you a lift, whereas going into a roomful of arguing people takes you down? That’s you picking up other peoples’ vibrations.</p>
<p>Ever been thinking about someone, and soon after they call you? That’s the pair of you connecting energetically.</p>
<p><strong>It’s as if each of us has an antenna, which is continually picking up all the vibrations</strong> – including thoughts, feelings and physical sensations – that other people are emitting. Unfortunately the antenna didn’t come with a firewall to block what we don’t want to receive!</p>
<h4><strong>You don’t need to know whose it is</strong></h4>
<p>I easily recognised the recurring thought “I have to do things perfectly” as coming from my parents. However, you don’t need to know who the vibration has come from, so the pain in your knee, or your fear of moving house, may come from sources you’re not aware of, and that’s fine.</p>
<h3><strong>How to let go of vibrations that aren’t yours </strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Ask who it belongs to</strong></h4>
<p>Take your attention to your discomfort, ad notice how heavy, or contracted, your energy feels. Then, silently, ask yourself:</p>
<p><em>‘Truth, who does this belong to?’<br />
</em></p>
<p>Now check whether your energy stays heavy, or gets lighter. If it gets lighter, the discomfort is someone else’s, so you can return it to the sender. Over 90% of the time your discomfort belongs to somebody else.</p>
<p>Occasionally the energy stays heavy, in which case it either belongs to the earth or to you.</p>
<p>Ask <em>‘Truth, does this belong to the earth?</em>’ and check whether your energy stays heavy, or gets lighter. If it gets lighter, the discomfort belongs to the earth.</p>
<h4><strong>Return with consciousness</strong></h4>
<p>Sometimes people feel reluctant to return discomfort to the sender, feeling it may harm them. On the contrary, when we return energy to the sender with consciousness, we help the person to resolve it at their end.</p>
<p><strong>a) Return to sender</strong></p>
<p>With the discomfort in mind, say in your head <em>‘Return to sender, with consciousness’</em>, and repeat up to three times, or until the energy feels light.</p>
<p><strong>b) Return to the earth</strong></p>
<p>With the discomfort in mind, say <em>‘Return to the earth on three: 1, 2, 3’</em> and either blow the energy away, or flick it away with your fingers. You may need to do this up to three times, or until the energy feels light.</p>
<h4><strong>If it’s yours</strong></h4>
<p>If the discomfort doesn’t belong to someone else, or to the earth, you’ve bought into it, and will need to use a <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/">healing method</a> to dissolve it.</p>
<p>Asking ‘Who does this belong to?’  and ‘Returning to sender’ whenever you remember for all thoughts, feelings and sensations for 3 days, will release so much baggage you’ll be a new person, with renewed health!</p>
<p><strong>The Delicious Nugget </strong>We’re all more psychic than we think, continually picking up other peoples’ vibrations. Asking ‘Who does this belong to?’, and then returning to sender easily releases your discomfort.</p>

<p><strong>If you were able to figure out with your mind how to resolve your sore back, wouldn’t you have done so by now?</strong> You probably need to access another source of information and awareness – your heart  – the place in your body where you feel things, so you can use your feelings to heal more quickly.</p>
<p>For me it’s like driving off with my handbrake on – I notice there’s a drag on the car, and wonder why I’m going so slowly, until I suddenly remember to release the handbrake, and away I go with speed and ease!</p>
<p><strong>Wouldn’t it be good to be able to remove the drag on your healing as easily as releasing your handbrake?</strong></p>
<p><strong>The trick with many energy healing methods is to turn off your brain and drop into your hear</strong>t, or feeling area. However, because of our left-brain, analytical culture, it can be really difficult to switch off your brain, which can chatter its way round and round the problem, with no access to a solution.</p>
<p>You may be surprised that your heart has brain cells, and they were created before your heart was, while you were in your mother’s womb. So by moving your awareness to your heart, you can access another type of wisdom.</p>
<h3><strong>Two quick ways to disengage your brain</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Put your hand on your heart</strong></h4>
<p>Simply placing your hand over your heart moves your awareness down from your mind to you to your heart &#8211; your feeling area.</p>
<h4><strong>Bow your head</strong></h4>
<p>Bowing your head also disengages your brain, and moves your focus to your heart – where you feel things.</p>
<p>Whatever energy healing method you’re using, try disengaging your brain – at least for part of the time, and experience your healing process speeding up!</p>

<p><strong>The more you worry, the more time you spend thinking about unwanted things that might happen.</strong> If you’re unlucky worry visits you at night, when everything is more exaggerated, and the way out of the goldfish bowl seems nigh impossible. The more you feed your worry story, the more likely it is to manifest as your reality.</p>
<p><strong>Worry is a low energy emotion</strong> – second to bottom on the Sedona scale – it sucks up your energy, depleting what’s available to keep you fit and healthy.</p>
<p><strong>Worries are based on beliefs you hold.</strong> For example, when I worry that my knee is going to take six months to heal, I’ve bought into the belief it will take six months to heal, and I’ve closed myself off to the possibility of faster healing.</p>
<h3><strong>Meet Justin IPOV</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Justin IPOV stands for ‘just an interesting point of view’!</strong> One of the 10 ‘commandments’ of Access Consciousness is that everything is just an interesting point of view. If whatever is worrying you is just an interesting point of view, it means you no longer identify with the point of view – you don’t align or agree with it, nor do you resist it or react to it, instead of being fixed it becomes neutral and it loses its hold on you.</p>
<p>Maybe that sounds a little confusing – many Access tools do, as they don’t make cognitive sense! If we could figure these things out in our mind, wouldn’t we have done so long ago?</p>
<p><strong>Put Justin IPOV to the test…</strong></p>
<p><strong>Bring to mind something that’s worrying you</strong>, and as you think about it, stop as soon as you notice a belief you have. For example: this will never change, it runs in our family,   Now say to yourself, out loud or in your head:</p>

<p>If your worry persists, you have more beliefs to dissolve, so keep going with IPOV each time you become aware of a belief you hold. As with any new tool, you’ll need to be persistent at first, until IPOV becomes a habit.</p>
<p><strong>As you get into the habit of making the beliefs behind your worries interesting points of view, your blinkers fall away</strong>, and you open up to new possibilities and choices.</p>

What if that belief were slowing your healing down?<br />
<span id="more-2944"></span><strong>If you believe you have many layers of the onion to peel, chances are that’s what will materialise for you.</strong> You may be like some of my clients who have tried one healing method after another, and come to me asking ‘How much longer will it take to heal?’</p>
<p><strong>How about exploring another perspective, that your issue is more like a ‘nucleated sphere’? </strong> Remember using a blowpipe as a kid, where you blew through several holes to produce a mass of connected bubbles (ie a nucleated sphere)? When one bubble popped another formed, and another, and another. The only way to stop the bubbles forming was to stop blowing!</p>
<p>So, instead of seeing your health issue as peeling back endless layers, how about stopping blowing, so you no longer feed it?</p>
<p><strong>Of course you may not consciously know how to stop blowing</strong> &#8211; no worries many modalities will easily address subconscious blowing!</p>
<p><strong>With <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/tat/">TAT</a></strong>, the fourth step ‘All the origins of this are healing now’ takes care of the source of your problem.<br />
Right now you could: take the TAT Pose, and put your attention for one minute on:</p>
<p><em>All the origins of believing I need to peel the layers of an onion are healing now.</em></p>
<p><strong>With the <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/sedona-method/">Sedona Method</a></strong>, diving deeply into the discomfort until it bursts or dissolves takes care of the source.<br />
Right now you could: notice the feeling that arises as you consider peeling the layers of an onion.</p>
<p><em>Allow yourself to dive into the feeling, then when it dissolves, dive into the next feeling you’re aware of, and so on, until you reach a peaceful state.</em></p>
<p><strong>With <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/one-command/">The One Command</a></strong>, after making your command, your old beliefs unwind, dissolving any nucleated spheres.<br />
Right now you could command:</p>
<p><em>I don’t know how my health issue resolves quickly, I only know it does so now, and I am grateful.</em></p>

<p>Don’t worry you don’t need to understand what the words mean, the energy of saying them clears the issue back to its source.</p>
<p><strong>Too easy to work?</strong> That’s another belief that could be holding you back!</p>

Having had my Bars run regularly for over a year, I recently experienced the uncomfortable results of getting out of the habit, followed by the bliss of regaining a clear head.<span id="more-2904"></span></p>
<p><strong>Persistent Arctic conditions here in Scotland meant I’d not had my <a href="http://delicioushealing.com/methods/bars/">Bars</a> run for weeks.</strong> On the third day of a muzzy head and little progress with anything non-essential, the penny suddenly dropped that I needed my Bars run, so I quickly borrowed a four wheel drive car to get up the long icy road to <a href="http://www.joycemurdoch.co.uk/">Joyce’s</a> house so we could run each others’ Bars.</p>
<p><strong>The next morning was bliss</strong> &#8211; my head felt so clear and spacious! (I usually notice the benefits after a nght’s sleep, while some people notice the benefits right away). All of a sudden there was clarity, and I quickly dealt with paperwork that had been languishing on my desk, and other jobs. I promised myself I’d be sure to get back to having my Bars run at least every fortnight!</p>
<p><strong>With a recycling pick-up every Monday, it’s now a habit to get all our rubbish out</strong> on a Sunday evening. My diary prompts me to run scans fortnightly clean-ups on my computer. It was easy to add Bars swaps to my diary, so I don’t allow my head to get cluttered up again!</p>
<h3>How to get your Bars run:</h3>
<p>There are several ways to get your Bars run.</p>
<ul>
<li>Pay for sessions with a Bars Practitioner –a great way to experience the benefits of having your Bars run, though costly on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Learn to run the Bars – it just takes a day, then you can
<ul>
<li>Swap Bars at a Bars Exchange – these groups are open to everyone who has completed the one day Bars Training. There are Bars Exchange groups worldwide, including my monthly Bars Exchange in Scotland.</li>
<li>Swap Bars with another person who has learned to run the Bars. This can be in-person, or a ‘distance swap’ – as in my Taster Healing Bar.</li>
<li>Run your own Bars – this is a last resort, as it’s much less potent than having someone run them for you.</li>
</ul>

<h4><strong>Recognise you’re in charge!</strong></h4>
<p>The only person that can heal you is you! So, while your ‘healer’ helps you activate your own healing, ultimately you’re the one in charge, and it’s up to you to do all you can to maximise the potential of your healing session.</p>
<h4>Acknowledge you’ll need more than one session</h4>
<p>Occasionally miracles happen in one session, however it’s more usual to need a few sessions for your healing. I advocate 3 sessions &#8211; scheduled about a week apart to keep the momentum going.</p>
<p>When you experience a new healing modality, at least part of the session is likely to be used up by your energy system acclimatising to the healing method and to the practitioner. I’ve had several Bars clients experience a dramatic improvement during their second session.</p>
<h4>Avoid mixing too many modalities</h4>
<p>At the other extreme, a client came to me for a Quantum Healing session during which it transpired she was also having sessions in Alexander Technique and Reflexology that same week. That was probably like having three people all pulling away at bits of a knotted piece of string!</p>
<h4>Do your ‘healingwork’</h4>
<p>You’ve probably been asked to adopt some daily habits to help optimise your healing. A common one is to drink plenty of water to flush out toxins released by your healing, rather than allow them to re-lodge themselves elsewhere in your body.</p>
<p>Some modalities include specific follow-on activities. With The One Command it’s essential to make new Commands for any doubts that arise in your awareness around your original Command. With Kinetic Chain Release, there are 3 physical stretches to be done daily to maintain the rebalance of your skeleton.</p>
<p>The most effective way to introduce a new habit is to add it on to an existing habit</p>
<h4>Keep your vibration high</h4>
<p>Whatever type of healing your practitioner facilitated for you, the essence was to help you raise your vibration to allow your natural healing to take place.</p>
<p>So it makes sense to do whatever you can to keep your vibration, which is always reflected in your mood, high. This could be a daily spiritual practice, listening to music, being out in nature, or simply choosing a thought that feels better.</p>
<p>You can also avoid people and situations that bring your vibration, and you mood, down – for me that includes people who do a lot of complaining, and noisy shopping centres!</p>
<p><strong>The Delicious Nugget</strong>: for continued healing you need to commit to more than one session, do any ‘healingwork’ you’re given, and do whatever you can to keep your vibration and your mood high.</p>
