Quinoa, pronounced ‘keen-wah’ is a seed which contains all eight essential amino acids, so it’s an excellent source of vegetable protein.
You can sprout quinoa, or cook it and use it like rice or cous cous.
In the winter I make a ‘warm salad’ which is a fresh salad with warm quinoa on top. Yum!

Cold water boosts your circulation, releases toxins and gives you a glorious sense of well-being! I’m not as brave as my mother who took a cold bath every morning for sixty odd years. So, I have my usual warm shower, then turn it to cold, and stay under a few seconds longer each day. Try it, you’ll step out feeling rejuvenated!
Try this easy way to break your craving for sweet things. When you find yourself drawn to the chocolate box, or the biscuit tin yet again, munch on a stick of celery instead, and watch your craving disappear.

I was slowly losing the range of movement in my right arm. ‘No problem’ thought I, ‘I had this before with my other shoulder. Some Bowen Technique sessions resolved it, so I’ll have some more’. However, after several sessions my shoulder movement was even more restricted. I tried various self-help techniques, and had sessions from some healing masters, with no long term improvement.

Whenever you feel pain, be it physical, mental or emotional, the tendency is to resist it, push it away in the hope it will disappear. Unfortunately pushing it away has the opposite effect of locking it in. Instead you need to allow your pain to soften.
